Chlorophyll is what makes plants green. Most "liquid chlorophyll" is chlorophyllin — a water-soluble form from alfalfa or mulberry — mixed into water as a refreshing green drink.

How to read a liquid chlorophyll label
Liquid chlorophyll products look alike on the shelf, but the labels differ in ways that matter when you compare them. Here is what to check.
Chlorophyll or chlorophyllin
Most products sold as liquid chlorophyll contain chlorophyllin, often listed as sodium copper chlorophyllin. It is a water-soluble form made from plant chlorophyll, and it is what lets the product mix into water and keep on the shelf. The ingredient list tells you which form a product uses and how much is in each serve.
Where it comes from
Labels usually name the plant source, most often alfalfa or mulberry leaf. The source does not change what chlorophyllin is, but some people prefer one over the other.
Serve size and dilution
Concentrates are measured in small amounts and diluted in water. Check the serve size, the amount of chlorophyllin per serve and how many serves are in the bottle, then follow the directions on the label.
Flavour and other ingredients
Many products are mint or spearmint flavoured. Look at the full ingredient list for sweeteners, preservatives and flavours if you avoid any of them.
Price per serve
